James Mcdougal, Executive Director
James Mcdougal is the Founder and Executive Director of Concerned Community 4 Change Sports Mentoring Program. After working 8 years to help implement the NYC recycling program he left NYC to attend Kennesaw State University in Georgia. In 2005, he returned home to Brooklyn to face some of the worst conditions in his community such as youth violence, educational underachievement and obesity.
In January 2009, James brought together educators, community activists, sports coaches and concerned parents to form Concerned Community 4 Change. Our mission is to address some of the disconcerting conditions in our community using sports. James is also a graduate of CUNY System Bachelor of Social Work. Board Certified CPHT 2006. Played Basketball @ Kingsborough Community College CUNY, Former President of The Brooklyn Chapter of National Action Network, Senior Advisor to Head Count Voter Registration Organization ,Co-President of " More Than A Moment " A national civil action organization based in Atlanta .
